Automatable

About Automatable

The conversation about AI and work is loud, vague, and usually about whole jobs disappearing. The evidence says something more useful: AI changes work task by task. Some tasks workers are glad to hand off; others they want to keep, and what AI can actually do varies enormously between them.

Automatableturns that evidence into something you can browse. For every task in 104 occupations, it shows how much workers want it automated, how capable today’s AI is, and what that combination means in practice, from ready to offload now to keep a human in charge.

It’s built entirely on the public Stanford WORKBank study. We don’t add opinions or predictions, we make the data readable. See exactly how on the methodology page.

Automatableis an independent project, not affiliated with Stanford University or the U.S. Department of Labor. It’s a small experiment, feedback and corrections are welcome.
